MaRia served as a magistrate at the Brig detention hearings and as legal officer/advisor to the commanding officer in various commands. She served as the Operations Officer at Assault Craft Unit TWO and the Dam Neck Navy Base and later went on to become the Executive Officer of Navy Recruiting District, Jacksonville, FL. Attorney Rogers served on two staff commands performing inspections and investigations prior to retiring in 2002. Throughout her Navy career and as a civilian attorney has provided personnel and legal assistance to military families and veterans. She understands the various military retirement system and how the division of military retired pay is calculated for active duty, reservists and retirees.
